The St. Patrick’s Youth Orchestra was founded in Spring 2013 to provide an outlet for young musicians to create beautiful music in a safe environment. We are entirely student-led, from arranging to conducting. We are made up of all denominations.
During each concert season, SPYO meets every weekend, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. For more information on the rehearsal schedule, please look at the SPYO calendar.
If you or your 7th-12th grader would like more information about joining SPYO please email Lisa Altaner: stpatsyouthorchestra@gmail.com or use the contact form below.
Note to Parents Involved with Rehearsals
All parents who want to get involved with rehearsals and interact directly with the students must complete the Safe Environment training offered through the Catholic Diocese of Peoria. This free online training can be accessed at:
https://peoria.cmgconnect.org/
Two other forms (State of Illinois DCFS Background Check, Catholic Diocese of Peoria Criminal History Background Search Form) also must be completed. These can be obtained by sending an email to: stpatsyouthorchestra@gmail.com
Please give the completed forms and the printed certificate from the online Safe Environment training to Jon McCoy in the St. Patrick’s Church office.
