About SPYO

The St. Patrick’s Youth Orchestra was founded March 2013 to create an inclusive, supportive community of Champaign-Urbana musicians. SPYO is an orchestra for 7th-12th grade students who are passionate about playing orchestral music. SPYO is the only youth orchestra in the area that is entirely run by students.

Currently, the orchestra features students from Urbana, Centennial, Central, St. Joseph Ogden, Academy, and University High Schools. It also includes members from  Edison, Jefferson, Franklin, Urbana, Countryside, St. Matthew’s, and Holy Cross Middle Schools.

We are so excited to present our very first Virtual Concert, featuring solos and duets played by SPYO members right from their own homes!

December 2019

Thank you to everyone who came to our very first Christmas Concert!  We had a great time playing all those festive pieces!
